Shea Moisture Shampoos

I stumbled upon these shampoos while shopping the other day. I'd never heard of this company before but apparently they have been around for a good while. Amazingly enough they use organic ingredients but you have to look at the back label to know it.

Shea Moisture
Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo w/ Silk Protein & Neem Oil
and Raw Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo w/ Sea Kelp & Argan Oil

I've heard very good things about Neem oil and Argan oil so I wasn't sure which one to use first..... so I used both. They both have wonderful aromas. The coconut and hibiscus smells like a tropical drink and the shea butter smells like summer suntan lotion.

While I really do like both of them, I find myself using the moisture retention shampoo the most. After washing, it feels like I don't need to condition... I do anyway but probably wouldn't have to. I don't have enough natural curl to create much frizz so I haven't reached for the anti frizz shampoo much. The several times that I have used it I noticed a distinct difference in the texture of my hair. It's as if each strand of hair is thicker somehow.

  1. I love Shea Moisture! Their biotin-infused shampoo makes my hair feel very thick. Their African Black Soap products are amazing as well.

    1. Oh, I didn't see the biotin .... I'll have to look for that next time. Thanks Raissa! :)

  2. I have the Shea Moisture Yucca and Aloe Thickening Growth Milk because my hair was sort of dry and falling out after a bleach job. It worked great; after about a week of use, barely any of my hair came out after a shower!
